About Cholesterol Testing

High cholesterol often has no symptoms but increases the risk of heart disease and stroke. Our tests provide a full lipid profile to help you take preventive action.

What’s Measured?

  • Total Cholesterol: Combined LDL and HDL levels.
  • LDL ('Bad' Cholesterol): Linked to artery blockages.
  • HDL ('Good' Cholesterol): Helps remove LDL from blood.
  • Triglycerides: Excess fats stored in the body.

Preparation

Fasting for 10–12 hours before the test is recommended for accurate results.

Who Should Get Tested?

Adults over 40, or those with:

  • Family history of heart disease or high cholesterol.
  • Poor diet, smoking, or sedentary lifestyle.
  • Diabetes or high blood pressure.
